Compared with storage batteries, what are the advantages of lithium batteries?

2024-10-14

1. Lithium batteries have better anti-theft performance

Solar energy uses batteries to store electricity, so the cost of this battery is slightly more expensive, which will also make some thieves eye solar batteries. In the past, lead-acid batteries were buried underground and were easily dug up by thieves. However, lithium batteries are installed under solar panels. Because the height of street lamp poles is high, it is more difficult to steal lithium batteries. If a special battery anti-theft box is installed for lithium-ion batteries, it will be more likely to prevent the battery from being stolen.

Therefore, the installation positions of lead-acid batteries and lithium-ion batteries are different. The installation position of lithium-ion batteries is not conducive to thieves to carry out theft, which can greatly reduce the possibility of battery theft.

2. Lithium batteries are less polluting than lead-acid batteries

We all know that the service life of lead-acid batteries is relatively short. Although it is cheap, it may need to be replaced once a year, which will greatly increase the pollution to the environment. Moreover, lead-acid batteries themselves are more polluting than lithium batteries. If they are replaced all the time, they will continue to cause harm to the environment.

3. Lithium batteries have a longer service life

As mentioned above, the annual loss of lead-acid batteries is relatively high, and they often need to be replaced every one or two years. The service life of lithium batteries is 35 years, and generally speaking, they can be guaranteed for three years. This means that if there is any problem with the battery within these three years, you can contact the manufacturer to replace it without paying extra fees, and you can use it comfortably.

4. Lithium batteries are safer

Lead-acid batteries are easy to get wet, while lithium batteries are not easy to get wet. Moreover, lead-acid batteries have memory, that is, charging before they are fully discharged will have a memory effect, which will affect the service life of the battery. Lithium batteries do not have memory and can be charged at any time. This makes it safer and more reassuring to use.
